The basic National Entitlement Card (NEC) is ITSO enabled and available to people living in Aberdeen City, Angus, Dumfries & Galloway, Dundee City, Fife, North Lanarkshire and Scottish Borders local authorities and can be used to store ITSO travel tickets. Your local authority issues a basic NEC to anyone who applies within these locations.
You can use an NEC smartcard across ITSO operators and with different modes of transport.
