The initiative

Transport Scotland continues to modernise our public transport network. We are working with Scotland’s public sector organisations and transport providers to deliver passenger requirements, with the aim to make public transport more attractive, easier to access and a viable alternative to using the car, reducing traffic and emissions.

This smart evolution is being funded through a combination of Scottish Government, local government and private transport operator investment, as well as being supported by European Regional Development Funding.
